Aromatherapy has been the biggest change to my life; it makes me feel motivated and focued when I need to work and relaxed when I need to sleep.
So when I tried to take aromatherapy to the next step and get away from plastic – it turns out that wasn’t so easy… Mirrist was the answer and it turns out there’s a lot to change about an aromatherapy diffuser.

Removing plastic from the water tank was the first step, but why stop there? Mirrist was designed because I believe a change has to happen in our homes. So many items we own are designed to fail, usually within a short space of time. Every component of Mirrist can be replaced by the user so this can last a lifetime.

Say Goodbye to Plastic
Ever noticed how 99% of aromatherapy diffusers are plastic? If not on the outside, they will almost always be plastic on the inside. This needs to change. Every week I will see new articles stating serious health concerns with plastic coming in to contact with water and food. From experience I know that many aromatherapy oils break plastic down. This will just be diffused out of the device, which is far from therapeutic.
Water and essential oil…
Nothing more but simply scent and relaxation. 8-10 drop of your favourite essential or fragrance oil with 150ml of water leads to 6 hours of blissful scent.

Dimensions and Specification
Standing at 23cm (9 inches) tall with a square base of 10x10cm (4 inches), Mirrist is compact enough to go on any surface but still allows for 100ml of water to give 6-8 hours of scent.
Running at just 700mA at 5V you can power this from many sources including power banks for varied use. Please just remember this is glass so keep it safe, it wont like being shaken.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there any plastic in the water tank?
Definitely no! The water tank for Mirrist is simply glass, a stainless steel holder for the electronics and a ceramic disk
Do I need a special plug for Mirrist?
No special plug is required. Mirrist is designed with a USB C socket meaning you can use any USB C cable and power supply – it runs on just 5 volts!
What materials is Mirrist made from?
The outside of Mirrist is thick 2.5mm glass with a real wood base. The power cable is braided fabric. The water tank is made from glass and inside is a stainless steel ultrasonic diffuser with a ceramic disk – no plastic inside the water tank! The only plastic is to hold the screws in and create a seal around the base so the mist leave the right part of the diffuser.
Can I use any scented oils with Mirrist?
Definitely – one of the real benefits of an ultrasonic diffuser is you can use thick oils that would normally block nebulisers. Also as no heat is generated you get oils vaporised in the cleanest way possible, no more burning from heat sources.
